Russell A. Thornton of Charlotte died on April 6, 1989. Mr. Thornton was
born in Walton Twp., Eaton Co., the son of Oarson & Mabel (Youngs) Thornton.
He was a lifelong Eaton Co. resident.

He had been employed as an electrician for Fisher Body, Lansing, retiring
in 1969 after 33 years of service. He was a former Charlotte volunteer
fireman.

Surviving are his wife; two sons; five grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, James Thornton. Services were April
10 at Burkhead-Green Funeral Chapel, Charlotte. Interment in Maple Hill
Cemetery, Charlotte.
