She was born near Woodbury, Sunfield Township, September 24 1876, the daughter of Mark and Sabrina Gray. She was married at Woodbury on September 23, 1898, to Leonard Van Buren, Sunfield. Mr and Mrs Van Buren celebrated their golden anniversary in 1948 in Sunfield where Mrs Van Buren spent her entire life. She is survived by one son; two brothers; three sisters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Mapes funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. Donald Strobe of the Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunfield. Page 195 MRS VANBUREN BURIED MONDAY Final Rites Held For Sunfield Woman Margaret Elizabeth Van Buren 75 died at her home in Sunfield Friday morning, January 11, after an illness of more than five months. Mrs Van Buren was born near Woodbury in Sunfield Township September 24, 1876, the daughter of mark and Sabina Grey and had spent her entire lifetime in the Sunfield area. On September 23, 1898, Mrs Van Buren married Leonard Van Buren, who preceded her in death December 5, 1949. One daughter, Tressa, born to their union, passed away in infancy. Mr and Mrs Van Buren had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary September 23, 1948. Surviving are: one son; two brothers; three sisters; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rev. Donald Strobe and Rev. Harold Cherry officiated at the services Monday with burial in Sunfield cemetery.
