BURDETT WRIGHT Mr. Wright was born in Palermo, Oswego County, New York, October 12 1853 and came to Michigan in the fall of 1867 at 14 years old, his parents having preceded him in the early summer and settled in Sunfield Township. Mr Wright lived on a farm with his parents until his marriage with Nelly Clapper in the fall of 1879. From this union one daughter and two sons were born, Mable Wright Dow, the first born, Ralph and Ernest, the former being the older of the two sons. His three children all live within one mile of their father on farms of their own. Mr Wright's wife preceded him in death nearly 10 days ago. Mr Wright owned and lived on the farm he bought over 50 years ago until he passed away, May 4, 1942, at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 22 days old. Mr Wright was converted nearly 50 years ago and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church and has been a faithful and devoted member of the church until his passing away. He leaves to mourn their loss one daughter, two sons, six grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, a younger brother, George B. Wright of Detroit, and a host of friends and relatives.
