THIS SECTION CONTAINS MEMORIALS TO LOCAL
VETERANS INLCUDING SERVICEMEN WHO GAVE
THEIR LIFE IN THE CIVIL WAR

THE MONUMENTS IN THE BACK OF THE SECTION
ARE BELIEVED TO BE
THOSE OF LESS FORTUNATE RESIDENTS OF
CHARLOTTE AND INTERMENTS THAT WERE MOVED
FROM THE FORMER CEMETERY IN CHARLOTTE 
NOW KNOWN AS OAK PARK.

THIS SECTION WAS RESTORED AND IMPROVED
AS AN EAGLE SCOUT COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
BY J. TYLER PRAY IN 1998
