Avis Ruth (Foster) Patterson was born on July 12, 1899 in Dansville, Ingham, 
Michigan USA to George R. Foster and Alma Elvira Clark. She died on December 29,
1988 in Potterville, Eaton, Michigan USA and buried at Deepdale Cemetery in
Okemos, Ingham, Michigan USA. She was married to Llewelyn Jerry Patterson and
had four children: Dorothy May (William Axel Hultberg), Richard Lyee, Ronald
Dennis and Llewelyn Jerome Patterson. She later remarried to Galen B. Smith and
Mason Cameron McElroy.
