Barbara Jean (Denby) Merriott was the daughter of Martin Richard and Marian 
Thankful (Nessen) Denby.  Her date of birth February 14, 1936 Lansing, Ingham 
Co., MI and date of death February 17, 2006 Charlotte, Eaton Co., MI (SSDI)

Gerald Duane Merriott and Barbara Jean Denby were married May 22, 1954 in 
Lansing, Ingham Co., MI.  They were the parents of a daughter and a son. 

Martin Richard Denby was the son of William Walter and Bridget "Betty" 
(Brennan) Denby.  He was born June 5, 1913 in Lansing, Ingham Co., MI and 
passed away August 31, 1986 Lansing, Ingham Co., MI.  He married Marian 
Thankful Nessen on July 15, 1933 in Lansing, Ingham Co., MI.  He owned and 
operated Denby's Body Shop at 2327 S. Pennsylvania, Lansing, MI featuring 
welding, painting, and bumping services. Martin Denby had been in the welding 
service since 1932 and operated his own welding and body shop business.  
Nartin and Marian had three daughters.

Marian Thankful Nessen was the daughter of Jens P. and Thankful (Gilmore) 
Nessen. She was born November 9, 1914 in Baldwin, Lake Co., MI and died June 
19, 1993 in Lansing, Ingham Co., MI.
