Merle is buried with his wife Deloris Dema in the Maple Hill Cemetery, located 
at 801 Tullybrown Road, Charlotte, Michigan. I don't have the exact location 
in the cemetery, but if you make a sharp left as you enter the cemetery and 
make the first right and park, the graves are just to the left. There are the 
graves of some other Lings just across the road to the right, including Dema's 
parents and grandparents. Their headstone reads:

 MERLE E.      DELORIS DEMA
 1907-1983       1907- 1959
