Note:  Death Certificate from Seeking Michigan website shows John Winters as a 
white, male, born in Ohio, father, Eli Winters, married, father of 4 children, 
2 living, died August 19, 1899 in Roxand Twp., Eaton Co., MI at the age of 70 
years, and 23 days. Cause of death Hemiplegra and starvation-unable to take 
food.

Note: No date of birth shown on death certificate. Unable to be sure of the 
birth day as July 17 or July 27, 1829
