KIME MONUMENT

The following headstones are located near the Kime Monument:

HOWARD
1881 - 1908

MORTON
1888 - 1905

RUFUS J.
1886 - 1916

Note:  Death certificate shows he was the son of Jacob Kime (Sandusky Co., 
Ohio and Emma Lyberger (Seneca Co., Ohio), male, white, single, born November 
1, 1891 in Seneca Co., Ohio and died on December 4, 1908 in Broofield Twp., 
Eaton Co., Mich at the age of 17 years 1 month and 4 days, cause of death due 
to carbolic acid poisoning taken for suicide intent. Informant John N. Kime, 
Eaton Rapids, Mich. Burial was on December 8, 1908 Rose Hill Cemetery, Eaton 
Rapids, Michigan.

Death certificate shows Morton Kime was the son of Jacob Kime and Emma 
Lyberger (both of Ohio), male, white, single, born June 12, 1888 Ohio and died 
on January 17, 1905 in Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., Mich at the age of 16 years 7 
months and 5 days, cause of death violence - gun shot wound in thorax. Was 
shot by Charles Smith - murder in 1st degree by jury. Informant Rufus Kime. 
Burial was on January 22, 1905 Eaton Rapids Cemetery, Eaton Rapids, Mich.
