MOENING MONUMENT

The following headstones are located in front of the monument:

ELIZABETH  (Shipman)
1857 - 1910

Note:  Death certificate shows William Shipman was the son of Isaac Shipman 
(Pennsylvania) and Lucy Walters (New York State), male, white, widower, 
machinist, born March 8, 1862 Ingham Co., Mich and died on September 19, 1910 
Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., Michigan at the age of 48 years 6 months and 11 days, 
cause of death typhoid fever. Informant Mrs. Alice(?) Smith, Hillsdale, Mich. 
Burial was on September 21, 1910 Rose Hill Cemetery, Eaton Co., Michigan.

Death certificate shows that Elizabeth Shipman was the daughter of Nathaniel 
Levy (New York State) and Jennie Winters (?) (New York State), female, white, 
married, housewife, born February 24, 1857 Eaton Co., Mich and died on March 
14, 1910 Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co., Mich at the age of 53 years 2 months and 20 
days, cause of death carcinoma of uterus. Informant Mrs. Alice Swift of Eaton 
Rapids, Mich. Burial was on May 16, 1910 Rose Hill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids, 
Mich.

William and Elizabeth Shipman were the parents of Roy A. Shipman (1891-1976) 
also buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Section K Lot 24
