HIS WIFE 1856 - 1898 Side 2: JAMES G. H. WILSON 1819 - 1890 Side 3: GEORGE SON OF J. W. & E. A. WILSON 1882 - 1897 Smaller headstone located near monument: J. G. H. WILSON CO I 26TH MICH INF Note: James G.H. Wilson enlisted in Co. I. 26th Michigan at New Haven on March 28, 1864, at the age of 44 and had been MIA at the Battle of Spotsylvania. At some point returned from being missing at Spotsylvania and was discharged by Special Order No. 140, dated June 3, 1865. His father, Arthur, had served in the War of 1812 and James and his wife, Abigail, had nine children. James died on August 17, 1890, and is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Eaton Rapids, Eaton County, Michigan. (Lt. Joseph Wilson had also served in Co.
