  Asahel G. Hawkins died at his home in Vermontville February 1, aged 70 years, 11 months and 10 days. On 
Septenber 26, 1860, in his 18th year, he was married to Lucinda L. Williams and for fifty-two years and over they 
traveled together the pathway of life. Two years ago they celebrated their golden wedding annicersary. Four sons 
and one daughter came to brighten their union--George B. and L. B. of Lansing, Mrs. Anna Ronth of Chicago, Clyde 
and Elmer of Vermontville. The family has been unbroken all these years.

  Mrs Lucinda Hawkins died Monday morning and the funeral was held Wednesday at two o'clock at the home. 
She is survived by five children, George and L. B. of Lansing,  Mrs Anna Renth of Chicago and Clyde and Elmer of 
Vermontville. The four sons all followed their fathers trade of barber.
