Ledger- Divorces, book G, p.410, Apr. 20, 1920
Decree For Divorce a Vincula Pro Confesso, without Custody of Minor Children.  
Proofs Taken in Open Court:  State of Michigan.  The Circuit Court for the 
County of Eaton, David N. BAKER, Complainant, vs. Mary E. BAKER, Defendant, At 
Session of said Court, held at the Court House in the City of Charlotte, in 
said County, on the 20th day of April in the year one thousand nine hundred 
and twenty.  Present the Hon. Clement Smith, Circuit Judge.  This cause having 
been brought on to be heard upon the Bill of Complaint filed therein, taken as 
confessed by the Defendant, and the proofs having been taken in open Court, on 
reading the Bill of Complaint, and hearing the proofs taken aforesaid, from 
which it satisfactorily appears to this Court, that the material facts charged 
in such Bill of Complaint are true, and that the Defendant Mary E. BAKER has 
been guilty of several acts of extreme cruelty therein charged.  On motion of 
Harry H. Partlow, of Counsel for said Complainant, it is Ordered, Adjudged ___ 
Decree, and this Court by virtue of the authority therein vested, and in 
pursuance of the Statute in such case made and provided, ___ Order, Adjudged 
and Decree, that the Marriage between the said Complaint David N. BAKER ___ 
said Defendant Mary E. BAKER, be Dissolved, and the same is hereby Dissolved 
___.  And the said parties are and each of them is, Free from the obligation 
thereof (blank).  Clement Smith, Circuit Judge.  Tulys? O. Wells, Deputy, 
Register.

Additional Comments:
This was David Nathaniel BAKER's 2nd marriage.  His 1st wife, Emily Lavina 
YATES, died in 1908.  David & Mary were married on Feb. 15, 1919 in Grand 
Ledge, Eaton Co., MI.  Mary's surname at the time was STUART.  Her parents 
were Eli GALLOP & Anna HONOR.
