The house was very prettily decorated in green for the happy event. At eight o'clock the strains of the beautiful wedding march sounded forth from the organ which was presided over by Mrs Don Hawkins. The bride and groom accompanied by Miss Iva Hallenbeck and Mr. Clair Beck entered the parlors where they were met by Rev. Wm., Haynes who pronounced the words that made them man and wife. Following the ceremony congratulations were extended after which a bountiful repast was enjoyed by all. The presents were many and beautiful as well as useful. The young people will soon be at home upon the farm now occupied by E. E. Campbell, as he is moving to town to reside. Those present from away were Mr. Allen Beck and family of Hastings as well as many from Sunfield and Chester. Saturday at the meeting of Vermontville Grange, the happy couple were given a kitchen shower by their Grange fretters. The best whishes of all their many friends were extended the happy couple who, having grown up in this community, have a host of friends. Here's congratulations.
