House Marriage of Lola House and Linne Stillman June 8, 1907, Bellevue, Eaton Co., MI The Battle Creek Daily Journal, Monday June 10, 1907 MATRIMONIAL - Stillman-House A quiet home wedding was solemnized at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents in Bellevue, when Miss Lola House was united in marriage to Linne Stillman, of this city. Only a very small company of friends, including the groom's sister, Miss Viola Stillman, of Battle Creek, witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Arnold. The bride wore a becoming gown of white silk, and was unattended. The rooms were prettily decorated for the happy occasion with lillies of the valley and other blossoms. Following the ceremony and congratulations, a dainty wedding luncheon was served. The young couple have a wide circle of friends both in Bellevue and in this city, who will extend their best wishes and congratulations. The bride for some time past has been employed as operator for the Citizens Telephone company in her home town, and the groom is connected with the same company in this city as wire chief. Many beautiful presents were bestowed upon the young people as tokens of the admiration of their friends. Mr. and Mrs. Stillman have lately furnished a cozy home at 145 East Van Buren street, where they have begun housekeeping. They returned to Battle Creek Saturday afternoon and in the evening were given a pleasant informal reception at their new home. Refreshments were served, and the hours were passed enjoyably with social discourse. Elra House, the bride's brother, was a guest from away.
