Jackson Were Married Half Century Ago Last Saturday The golden wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs John T. Jackson was celebrated at their home in this village Saturday with many relatives and friends attending. John Jackson and Miss Edith Dilley were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs Jonas Dilley in Oneida and attendants were the Misses Nellie and Edith Miller as bridesmaids and the best men were Irwin Dilley and Bert Jackson. The ceremony was read by Rev. Clayton of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr and Mrs Jackson made their home in Roxand until 18 years ago, since that time they have lived in Sunfield village. The Misses Etheleen Jackson and Reva June VanHouten furnished music and a reading by Mrs Sue Jackson Bishop were much enjoyed. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served to the guests by Mrs Mable Stryker, Mrs Bessie Jackson, Mrs Goldia Jackson and Elaine Squires. Mr and Mrs Jackson have one daughter, Mrs Mable Stryker of Roxand; two sons, Charlie of Roxand and Frank of Sunfield: 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Guests were present from Dearborn, Battle Creek, Nashville, Lansing, Grand Ledge, Lake Odessa and Woodbury. Many lovely gifts were received by the happy couple. Some were sent from New York City, New Mexico, North Dakota and Chicago. One hundred and six guests registered in their bridal book. We join the company with hearty congratulations.
