VANALSTINE of the township of Oneida, Eaton County and State of Michigan, aged seventy (70) years, being a citizen of the United States of America and of sound mind and memory, having duly considered the uncertainties of life and the unerring certainty of death, do hereby make, declare and publish this as for my last will and testament, giving, granting, bequeathing and devising in manner following, to wit:--- After the payment of my funeral expenses, expenses of last sickness, if any and any lawful debts which I may have contracted I give, bequeath and devise to my son Lincoln VANALSTINE all of my property6 both real and personal, provided that my said son Lincoln VANALSTINE shall provide for and support my wife Sarah VANALSTINE, in case she survives my decease so long as she lives, and shall also cloth her and furnish medical attendance in case of sickness and on her death will give her a decent and proper burial. Said support of my wife to be at the home of my said son Lincoln VANALSTINE, to be resonable and in accordance with their circumstances in life. The aforesaid support of my wife Sarah VANALSTINE is willed to her with the understanding on my part that she will accept the same in lieu of her dower interest in my property. I do not will anything to my other children, not because of want of parental affection, but for the reason that I have heretofore made advances to them to the full extent of whet I consider was their share or proportion of my estate. In witness whereof I George W. VANALSTINE to this my last will and testament (consisting of two sheets of type written paper) have subscribed my name and set my s4eal at Grand Ledge, Eaton County, Michigan this 25th day of July A.D. 1895, hereby revoking any and all former wills by me made. George W. VANALSTINE X his mark (L.S.) The above instrument consisting of two sheets of type written paper was duly executed (signed and sealed) in our presence by the testator George W. VANALSTINE, and he at the same time in our presence and hearing declared the same to be his last will and testament and therefore we at his request and in his presence and the presence of each other, on this 25th day of July A.D. 1895 have written our names as witnesses thereto.
