In the background is the First Presbyterian Church. This cemetery is inactive and nothing remains to mark the site. In 1918 a devastating fire swept through Cross Village destroying 5 large stores, the post office, hotel, about 25 homes and the Presbyterian Church. A stone church was rebuilt and named Redpath Memorial Presbyterian Church after the Rev. John Redpath. Spelling of Pottowatomie taken from photo.
