OBITUARIES - from the Flint Journal, Monday, October 18, 1954  page 24

Birkett - Alice A. Birkett, 120 Edwin Avenue, age 86, died Sunday, October 17, 1954 
at Hurley Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 20, 
1954, from Rose Chapel, Algoe-Gundry Mortuary.  Burial in Grace Lawn Cemetery.  Body 
will be at the mortuary.  She was born in Leyland, England, February 2, 1868, daughter
of John and Alice Hindle; had been a resident of Flint since 1912.  She was a member of
Flint Park Methodist Church.  Surviving are: Brother, William Hindle of Pittsfield, 
Mass.; several nieces and nephews.
