Hubbard HUBBARD, Genevieve R. "Gen" - Age 85, formerly of Flushing and most recently at Concerned Country Care of Montrose, went home to Heaven on Monday, October 3, 2011 to join the Lord, and her late husband, Don and her parents. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Mayfair Bible Church, 5339 W. Pierson Rd., Flint. Pastor Jerry Beach will officiate. A private burial will be held at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home and 12:30 p.m. Friday at the church until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial in Genevieve's memory. Gen was born in Flint, MI on August 3, 1926, the only child of Carl and Mildred Jennings. She resided in the Flint area most of her life. On January 4, 1946 she married the love of her life, Donald Hubbard. They were married 54 years before Don was called home to Heaven. Gen was a member of Mayfair Bible Church for over 50 years. Gen graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1944 and also in December of 1944 Gen graduated from the Michigan School of Cosmetology and had been a Cosmetologist for several years in Flint. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Vicki (Bob) Schneider of New Lothrop, Kim (Mark) Friedle of Woodland Park, CO; son, Steve of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Maxine (Bill) Spence of Flushing, Beverly (Richard) Wallis of FL; brother-in-law, Douglas (Marta) Hubbard of Flint; nieces, nephews; and many friends from Mayfair Bible Church.
