The Flint Journal, May 1949:

McDAID-Alexander P. McDaid, age 59, died Wednesday, May 18, 1949, at Hurley Hospital. 
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Horrigan Funeral Home, 5106 N. 
Saginaw St. Body will be at the funeral home. He was the son of Joseph and Alice McDaid,
and had lived in Flint for the last 20 years coming here from Chelsea, Michigan. 
Surviving are: 2 daughters, Mr. Viola Biga and Mrs. Ruby Eagleson, both of Flint; 10 
grandchildren.
