Flint Journal - 17 March 1953
MINTO – Mary A Minto, 1012 Pettibone, age 87, died Sunday, March 15, 1953, at 
the residence.  Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, March 19, 
1953, from the residence.  Chaplain Eli Richard officiating.  Burial in 
Hemlock, Mich. Mrs. Minto will lie in state at the residence, 1012 Pettibone 
St.  Arrangements by the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd.  Death was 
sudden.  She was born in Watertown, N.Y. Sept 3, 1865, lived in Flint for the 
last 36 years.  Mrs. Minto was united in marriage June 2, 1886, to Adam Minto 
at Melock, Mich.  He preceded her in death in February, 1925.  She was a 
member of the Lincoln Park Methodist Church and lifetime member of the WCTU.  
Surviving are: Son, Thomas Minto of Davison; 2 daughters, Jennie Minto and 
Francis Pinney, borh of Flint.  11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
