Flint Journal - April 11, 1955
MITCHELL—Douglas Mitchell, 3326 Dakota St., age 36, died Sunday April 10, 1955
at the residence.  Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, April
13, 1955 from Rose Chapel, Algoe-Gundry Mortuary.  Rev. A. W. Pickard
officiating.  Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.  Body will be at the
mortuary.  He was born in Flint, Mich., Nov. 16, 1917, son of George and Hazel
Mitchell, had been a life resident of Flint.  Mr. Mitchell was formerly employed
at Fisher Body Division and later with the Van Fleet Excavating Co.  Surviving
are: Wife, Luella; 3 daughters, Judith, Barbara, Pamela, all at home; son,
Larry, at home; mother, Mrs. George Mitchell of Flint; 2 brothers, Howard
Mitchell of Flint, Harold Mitchell of West Palm Beach, Fla.
