Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at the Vernon Chapel, A.M.E. Church, 5802 Dupont St., Rev. R.E. Russell officiating. Interment in RiverRest Cemetery. Mrs. Rawls reposes at the New Gold Chapel, Greene Home for Funerals, where the family will receive friends on Monday, from 7-8 PM. Mrs. Rawls was born in Wilmar, Arkansasa, July 22, 1892 and has been a resident of Flint since 1923. She was a member of Vernon Chapel A.M.E. Church, Stewardess Board, Cook's Missionary Society, Trustee Helpers, Senior Choir, Red Rose Club, Willing Workers. She was installed as a Deaconess on September 9, 1973. She was a member of Urban League of Flint and Flint Branch of the N.A.A.C.P. Surviving are 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Reaves, Mr. and Mrs. James (Lillian) Bell; 6 sons and 4 daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Homer (Della) Rawls, Mr. Cleophis Rawls, Mr. and Mrs. Canvis J. (Freida) Rawls, Rev. and Mrs. Robert (Estelle) Rawls, Mr. Clifford A. Rawls all of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Laverne (Melena) Rawls of Cleveland, Ohio; 1 brother and 3 sisters-in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. John (Augusta) Copeland of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Callie Copeland of Pasadena, California, Mrs. Eula Crawford of Tonawanda, New York; 18 grandchildren: 14 great grandchildren: many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Husband, Mr. Johnnie Rawls preceded her in death, March 16, 1966. Arrangements by Greene Home for Funerals.
