Waldrop,Mavis Carlene-age 72, of Flint, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 
Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 12 noon Monday, November 30, 2009 at 
Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with 
Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettle officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes 
National Cemetery in Holly, Visitation will be held 12-8 p.m. Sunday and 11 
a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. 
Mrs Waldrop was born May 19 1937 in Ashville, N.C., the daughter of Oscar and 
Thelma (Thorpe) Lee. She Married Paul Franklin Waldrop, Sr on September 4, 
1952. Mrs Waldrop was employed by the Flint Osteopathic Hospital and Buick for 
many years.
Surviving ar: husband Paul Franklin Waldrop, Sr.: five Children, Paul Franklin 
Waldrop, Jr., Alvin Dale Waldrop, Lester Daavid Waldrop, Steven Lee Waldrop, 
Debra Darlene Sherrill and husband, Richard; 13 grandchildren; four great-
grandchildren; siblings, David (Kay)Lee, Ronnie (Lori) Lee, Bob (Joanne) Lee, 
Pat(Hetor) Pena; special niece and nephew, Mike and Patty Cassida. She was 
preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Fred Waldrop and daughter-in-Law, 
Charlene  Pfeiffer.
