Zimmerman, 630 E. Hobson Ave., age 74, died Saturday, July 20, 1940, at the residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p. m., Monday, July 22, 1940, from the Emanuel Lutheran church, corner of Avenue A and Dartmouth, Rev. B. J. Westendorf officiating. Burial in Union cemetery. Remains will be at the residence until 1 p. m., then taken to church to lie in state until time of services. Arrangements by Groves & Co. Death was caused by complications. He was born in Germany, Jan. 8, 1866, and came to Flint 31 years ago from Bay City, Mich. He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran church. Surviving are: Wife, Mrs. Minnie Zimmerman; 3 daughters, Mrs. Oscar Kirbitz, Mrs. Charles Klier and Mrs. Victor Peterson, all of Flint; 2 sons, Fred J. of Flint and Adolph of Davison; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Augusta Windemere of Bay City, Mich., Mrs Anna Martin of Detroit; 4 brothers, John of Davison, Ernest of Hale, Mich., Gust of Auburn, Mich., and William of Bay City, Mich. Additional Comments: Two sons, Walter F. & Albert C., preceded him in death.
