John and Stefania Smela are my maternal grandparents.  They rest at the 
original site of the All Saints Catholic Cemetery off of Dort Road in Flint, 
Michigan.  They arrived in the United States from what was then, Austria, and 
is today, Poland. They raised eight children and their descendants survive and 
prosper.
