The marker was taken in September, 2005 at the Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bert Tonnkin (born in England)-Date of birth-July 9, 1900--Death-April 26, 
1988 in Defiance, Ohio.
Clara Tonkin-Date of birth-August 21, 1894--Death-March 9, 1978.
 
Bert's parents-Alfred & Annie (nee Ellis, Wills) Tonkin
Clara's parents-Powell
 
*Bert was born in England, lived in Upper Peninsula, MI...Flint, Mi, then Ohio 
where he died.  He remarried a woman by the name of Alka
*Clara was older than Bert, lived in the Pinconning, MI area, Flint, MI and 
died in Genesee County, MI.  Their family came from Germany
