Samuel h son of W.J& S.H. Thomas of the first Mich Cavelry who died July 27, 
1863 of a wound received at the battle of Gettysburg Penn aged 24 Y's. 
Inscription in part "died in the full assurance of immortality. located at plot 
number 137 Oakwood Cemetery  Old Prospect Hill ,Fenton MI.
