John George Geiger, our father, born Jan 17, 1802 died May 11, 1890
One side of Geiger obelisk.  John came to America before 1860 from Wurtemburg or
Bayern (different places given in different census).  Ellis says they were born
in Wurtsenburg, came to Erie NY in 1850 and to Thetford, Genesee, Mi in 1854. He
had with him possibly 4 daughters, 1 son and Dortha Storer who was an aunt to
his children.
