The rest is underground. The stone is next to Mary Ann McTuttle. M. Perry read this stone in 1965 and he reads: Walter McTuttle d. Jan 1, 1875 52 years. Additional Comments: I found a W M C Tuttle b. 1822 NY (ran a sawmill) in the 1870 census of Lapeer, Mi. He was married to a Mary A b. 1836 Can who I suspect is our man. He had 4 children all born in Canada. I suspect the family soon dropped the Mc and just used Tuttle. I found no records for McTuttle.
