Robert was born Feb 23, 1879 in Hadley, Lapeer, Mi (BR). Robert was single in 1930, living on Branch Rd with 3 of his siblings. Robert’s parents are Francis (Frank) Vert b. Feb 8, 1836 in Scotland (DR) and Jane Harper b. Jul 4, 1837 England (DR). They were married about 1861 probably in Canada. They came to the US about 1870 settling 1st in Emmet, St Clair, Mi. By 1880 they lived in Hadley Village, Lapeer, Mi, with Francis working in a Grist Mill. In 1900 they lived in Genesee, Genesee, Mi. Jane died Nov 6, 1902 buried at Avondale, ( DR Indexed Vest, dau of Robert Harper). Frank died Oct 21, 1914 in Genesee and was buried at Avondale (DR, son of William Vert and Margaret Muatt, his occupation was Miller). Frank and Jane had 8 children, 3 of which are buried in Tanner.
