He was born on August 31, 1976, in Midland. Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Tammy, at home; grandparents, Walter Ivey of Pinconning and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fischer of Gladwin; great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Bennett of Gladwin and Mrs. Lionel Ivey of Bay City. Howard Rd., Beaverton, died Monday, Dec. 31, at his home following a long illness. Born in Hamburg, West Germany, June 9, 1906, he came to Gladwin County in 1971 from Detroit. He was a butcher for Hygrade Food Products. Mr. Jensen was married to the former Hildegard Bimber June 6, 1951, in Detroit. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Emil of Rockford and Gustav of Mt. Clemens; one sister, Frieda Riefling of Hamburg, West Germany; and 2 grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. Rites were held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy Glasgow officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Born Sept. 23, 1920 in Germany, she came to the United States as a child. The former Hildegard Bimber married Emil Jensen Jan. 6, 1951 in Detroit. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1984. Surviving are 2 sons, Emil and wife Vicki of Grand Rapids, and Gustav and wife Pat of Clinton Township; dear friend, Carolyn Carr of Beaverton; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother. Rites were held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin with the Rev. Donald Haskell officiating. Burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Jeska , 82, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away Sept. 16, 2003 at his home following a short illness. He was born May 3, 1921 to Alexander and Agnes Jeska in Kawkawlin, and married the former Geraldine Fry on Sept. 23, 1947 in Bay City. The U.S. Army World War II veteran retired from Bectal Corporation in 1983. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator in Midland. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1962, having previously resided in Bay City. Bernard was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Edenville, D.A.V., V.F.W. Post 7303, Knights of Columbus 12660, Gladwin Eagles Aerie 3292, Amvets, American Legion Post 171 - Gladwin, and Local 324 - Freeland. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of Beaverton; sons Paul (Linda) Jeska of Beaverton, James Jeska of Beaverton and Dale Jeska of Beaverton; daughters Joan (Roger) Einink of Silver Springs, Florida, Retha Parker of Beaverton and Nancy Alburg of Beaverton; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Al Jeska; sisters Dorothy Satkowiak of Kawkawlin and Evelyn Shellagowski of Linwood; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son David, his parents, granddaughter Cynthia Flatt, four brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 18 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Edenville with Fr. Raymond Moeggenberg and Sr. Mary Ellen McDonald. Burial took place in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. Visitation and a vigil service were held at Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Jeska, 34, of 3620 Whitehall Rd., Anderson, S.C., died suddenly Wednesday, April 20, 1994. He was born in Bay City on March 29, 1960, and graduated from Beaverton High School in 1978. He served in the Navy from 1979 to 1983. Mr. Jeska had lived in South Carolina for 7 years and was a welder for Ron White's Air Compressor Sales in Anderson. Surviving are his parents, Bernard and Geraldine Jeska of Beaverton; 3 brothers, Paul of Beaverton, James and Dale of Grand Rapids; 3 sisters, Joan Einink of Lexington, Ky., Retha Parker of Midland and Nancy Alburg of Beaverton. Jones, 44, of Tulsa, Oklahoma died suddenly Oct. 9, 2000 at home in Tulsa. Dennis was born May 10, 1956 in Jackson, Michigan. He lived in Oklahoma for ten years and previously lived in Gladwin. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gladwin. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Dolores and T. Edward Schnepp of Harrison; two sisters, Karla and husband, Richard Davis of Houghton Lake and Dawn (Jones) Inman and fiance Larry Chappell of Midland; three brothers Travis Schnepp II of Phoenix, Ariz., Tracey and wife Jan Ella Schnepp of Newark, Ohio, and John and wife Peggy Schnepp of Soeul, Korea; nephews Stanley, Joshua and Jon Inman of Midland and Griffin Schnepp of Newark, Ohio; niece Hadassah Schnepp of Soeul, Korea; grandmother Mona VanConant of Weidman and several aunts and uncles. Born in Maynard, Ohio, April 2, 1908, he moved to Gladwin County in 1954 from Detroit. Mr. Karch was a tool and die maker until retiring in 1958. He was a charter member of the Hay Senior Citizen Club. Mr. Karch and the former Pauline Marshall were married Aug. 7, 1930, in Flint. Born Sept. 22, 1914 in Detroit, she lived in Gladwin County since 1954 and previously lived in Detroit. She married Andy Karch, Aug. 7, 1930 in Flint. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was a homemaker. Surviving are one son, Robert and wife Dorothy of Novi; two grandchildren; one brother, Chester Marshall of Savannah, Ga.; one sister, Mary Wozniak of Dearborn; and several nieces and nephews. M-18, Beaverton, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1993, in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, after an illness of 2 years. He was born in Midland on Jan. 4, 1933, and moved to Gladwin County in 1948. Mr. Keeley was a master plumber in the pipe shop at Dow Chemical Co. He retired in 1986 after 35 years at Dow and worked for Three Rivers Construction until 1992. He served in the Army during the Korean War and attended the R.L.D.S. Church in Beaverton. Mr. Keeley worked on the chain gang at varisty football games and was scorekeeper at the varisty basketball games. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Mr. Keeley and the former Jessie Wesley were married Oct. 1,1955, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Dennis and Douglas of Beaverton and David of Toledo, Ohio; his parents, Harold and Glenadean Keeley of Beaverton; one brother, Gary of Beaverton; 2 sisters, Esther Rodabaugh of Beaverton and Chloie Ostrander of Millington; and 9 grandchildren. Born Feb. 18, 1907 in Shepherd, he was a resident of Beaverton since 1948. Mr. Keeley was employed as a machinist at Dow Chemical Co. in Midland before retiring in 1965 after 38 years of service. He was an elder at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Beaverton. He married the former C. Glenadean White Feb. 18, 1928 in Flint. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Chloie and husband Willis Ostrander of Millington, and Esther and husband Thomas Rodabaugh of Beaverton; one son, Gary and wife Linda of Beaverton; one daughter-in-law, Jessie Keeley of Beaverton; one brother, Rufus of Midland; one sister, Ida Crosby of Midland; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Born Jan. 23, 1934 in Gladwin County, she was the daughter of Howard and Freda (Dunning) Wesley and was a life long resident of Gladwin County. Jessie married Arthur Keeley, Oct. 1, 1955 in Beaverton. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a secretary for the MSU Cooperative Extension Service, Gladwin. Surviving are three sons, Dennis, Douglas and wife Kim, and David and wife Karen, all of Beaverton; two sisters, Viola Corbett of Beaverton and Bessie Burke of Alliance, Ohio; one brother, Donald Wesley of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Keene was a member of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge in Ypsilanti. He was married to the former Shirley Wilson on November 26, 1936 in Dansville. She was born in Pontiac Aug. 25, 1923, and was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. She was employed as a secretary for B&L Welding, and was a member of Eastern Star, Beaverton. The former Marion Cottrell, she married Leo Snyder, June 1, 1946 in Beaverton. He died Dec. 1, 1973. She married Frank Kelley of Beaverton, March 27, 1977. She is survived by her husband; 4 sons, Gary and wife Brenda Snyder, Larry and wife Peg Snyder, Terry and wife Betty Snyder, and Randy and wife Ave Snyder, all of Beaverton; 1 step-son, Gary Kelley of Clawson; 1 step-daughter, Gail Darren of Saginaw; 2 sisters, Hellen Methner of Beaverton, and Margaret Woodruff of Illinois; and 13 grandchildren. Gladwin County Record dated 06-01/1994 Column - 3 Page - 2 WILLIAM JOSEPH "TRAPPER BILL" KENNEDY (7 MAY 1921 - 26 JAN 2005) William Joseph Kennedy, William Joseph Kennedy, also known as “Trapper Bill,” 83, of Beaverton passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at his residence. William was born May 7, 1921 in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late Leroy and Virginia Kennedy. Virginia later married Earl Blades. William was well known in the community as “Trapper Bill.” He was also a farmer. William was an avid hunter, fisherman and baseball fan. He did many great things in his life, including working on the Alaskan Pipeline. William received a purple heart and two bronze stars in WWII with the 10th Mountain Division. William is survived by one sister, Myra Scoby of Mount Clemens; one step sister, Jeanne (George) Rieley of Lake City; niece Debbie Johnson; and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Barbara Morgan; and two step brothers, Mike Blades and Adrian Blades. Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 28 at the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. Rev. KENNEDY (1886 – 4 FEB 1942) ANNA (BELLER) KERN (27 MARCH 1918 - 24 SEP 1978) Anna Kern, 60, of 3620 S. Martin Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Cook County, Chicago, Ill., on March 27, 1918, she came to Gladwin County in 1945. Mrs. Kern was employed at the Gladwin Hospital for 21 years until she retired in 1972. She was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Aid and the Gladwin Hospital Auxiliary. The former Anna Beller, she was married to Theodore Kern on March 13, 1935, in Fairgrove. Brown St., Beaverton, died Monday, October 8, at the Gladwin Area Hospital after a long illness. He was born November 1, 1898 in Butler County, Pa., and had been a Detroit bus driver before his retirement. Mr. Kesser came to Gladwin County 5 years ago from Taylor. His wife, the former Mable Hittle, preceded him in death January 7, 1970. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 1620. Surviving are 2 daughters and a sister. KILLIAN Alice Killian, 76, passed away May 18, at 12:45 p.m. after an illness of five days. Mrs. Killian was born Feb. 21, 1880, in Allen County, Ind., and married Henry Killian on Nov. 5, 1898. KILLIAN, SR (27 MAY 1917 - 29 APRIL 1992) Arthur G. Killian, 74, of 3100 Burgess Rd., Beaverton, died Wednesday, April 29, 1992, in the Central Michigan Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, after a long illness. Born in Beaverton on May 27, 1917, he had spent his lifetime there. Mr. Killian was an operator in the Power House at Dow Chemical Co. for 31 years and retired in 1980. He served in World War II as a Corporal and was a member of the Beaverton Grouse Dog Club and the Shaft Alley Hunting Club. Mr. Killian and the former Gladys Anderson were married May 29, 1948, in Beaverton. Killian, 68, of Coleman died March 18, 2006 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland following a long illness. He was born in Midland County on April 20, 1937 to George and Dorothy (Stillwagon) Killian. He married Sharon Joy in Beaverton on Mary 21, 1960. She died on Jan. 29, 2006. Charles lived in Gladwin County all his life and was a carpenter. Surviving him are three daughters, Cheryl (Dale) Reeder of Harrison, Lori (Jerry) Longstreth of Coleman, and Amy (Paul) Edmonds of Beaverton; three grandchildren, Jeremy and Jenna Longstreth, and Dalton Edmonds; one sister, Dorothy Jean (Wayne) Bentley of Gladwin; and one brother, Lester (Margaret) Killian of Beaverton. (ANDERSON) KILLIAN (23 JAN 1925 - 23 MAY 2001) Gladys Killian, 76, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio following a long illness. Born Jan. 3, 1925 in Randolph, Ohio, she was the daughter of Archie and Myrtle (Kesser) Anderson. She lived in Gladwin County most of her life and previously lived in Randolph, Ohio. Gladys married Arthur Killian Sr., May 29, 1948 in Gladwin. He preceded her in death in 1992. She was a billing clerk for MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Gladwin and was a member of the Beaverton Church of God. Surviving are one daughter, Mary and husband Michael Wysong of Howard City; two sons, Arthur Jr. and wife Nikki of Traverse City and Robert and wife Kathy of Beaverton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Anderson of Gladwin; and four sisters, Delores Mitchell and Lois Mitchell, both of Beaverton, Mildred Lockhert of Erlanger, Ky., and Velma Dorsey of Empire. Killian, 73, passed away at his home in Beaverton township on Monday, August 27. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Beaverton Brethren church. The Rev. He has been in poor health for a number of years. Killian, 68, of Beaverton, died Saturday, Dec. 16, after a long illness. Born Jan. 20, 1899, in Harlem, Ind., he lived in Hicksville, Ohio, before coming to Beaverton 50 years ago, in 1917. He was a retired construction worker and served in World War I. He and the former Miss Ruth VanDyke were married in Beaverton on Oct. 29, 1922. Born May 11, 1901 in Woodland, Michigan, she lived in Beaverton most of her life. Ruth was employed by Lane's Dry Cleaners, Beaverton as a clerk, retiring in 1969. (ROBACK/ROHRBACH) KNAPP (22 FEB 1916 - 26 OCT 1967) JOHN MARWOOD KNOX (2 FEB 1846 - 15 APRIL 1935) HOLD LAST RITES FOR JOHN KNOX Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today for John M. Knox, surveyor and engineer who for almost 50 years has been in the county's employ. Rev. Raymond Norton conducted the services at the M.E. church in Beaverton. Burial was in the Dale cemetery. Born in Liverpool, England, on February 2, 1846, Mr. Knox passed his 89th birthday this year. He had been active in the office of county road engineer up until a few weeks ago, and was one of the county's pioneers whose memory will be cherished by hundreds of friends throughout the county. Credited with the surveying of every drain and almost every road in the county, he served as county surveyor for 42 years - from 1889 to 1931. Previous to 1889 he served as deputy surveyor under George W. Doane. When he retired from office in 1931 he was succeeded by his son, V. V. Knox. He cam to this country form England in 1883 and first settled in Detroit. He moved to Gladwin after a few months and here on February 22, 1885, he was married to Mrs. Julia Dow - the couple celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this year. Acting as pall-bearers at his funeral today were road commissioners and county officers with whom he has worked during his many terms in office: L.M. Barnes, Earl Woodruff, Lyman Kerswill, Reas P. Webb, Walter Thomson and John C. Shaffer. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Julia Knox , his son, Vallie Knox, and a daughter, Mrs Ed Ray. Gladwin County Record dated 04-17/1935 Column - 6 Page - 1 JOHN KNOX John Marwood Knox was born in Liverpool, England, February 2, 1846. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Walton college at Liverpool, and also the degree of civil engineer. He then worked in a bank for three years. In the summer of 1881 he sailed for Montreal, Canada, where he lived for one year. In 1882 he came to Detroit and in 1884 he moved to Gladwin county. On February 28, 1885, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Julia Dow. They settled on the farm which is now known as the Knox farm, east of Beaverton. To them was born one sone, Vallie Knox, of Beaverton. There were also three step-children, Mrs. Eliza Dundas, who died six years ago, Mrs. John Rich, of Beaverton, and Jay Dow, of Toledo, Ohio. Two foster children were taken into the home and became as daughters. They are Mrs. Ed Ray of Gladwin and Mrs. Chester Buck of Stanton. There remain 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Knox is best known as a pioneer of Gladwin county, where he has used his education and talents freely. During the nineties he worked six years as bookkeeper in the saw mills of Beaverton. He then became county surveyor, which position he has held most of the time since then. Men like him have given to America more than we shall ever know. KNOX SUCCUMBS TUESDAY Tobacco Woman, 91, Was Oldest Resident of County Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, May 14, at 2 o'clock at the Church of the Brethren in Tobacco township for Mrs. Julia F. Knox, who died yesterday at the age of 91. She was the oldest resident of Gladwin county. Burial will be at Dale cemetery. Mrs. Knox died Tuesday morning, May 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Rich, in Tobacco township, where she had gone the day before to spend some time with Mrs. Rich. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harris she was born in Macomb county July 27, 1845. She came with her family to Edenville in 1866. Here she married James G. Dow in 1870 at the old Axford Inn. Charles Axford, the proprietor, officiated at the ceremony as justice of the peace. They located on land in what is now Tobacco township, and which has since been her home. At that time and for several years after there were no inhabitants between Edenville and the Dow farm and for some distance north. Gladwin was a part of Midland county. Billings township was organized in 1875 and comprised the territory now included in Bentley, Billings and Tobacco townships. Mr. Dow served his townships as supervisor until his death May 21, 1881. She married John M. Knox February 28, 1885, and they had since made their home on the old homestead. Mr. Knox was a surveyor and prominent in public affairs of the county. He died April 15, 1935. As one of the oldest residents of the county Mrs. Knox could recount many interesting and lively events of Edenville when it was a stopping place for lumbermen. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, James Jay Dow of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. John Rich, of Tobacco township, and Vallie V. Knox, of Beaverton; two adopted daughters, Mrs. Ed Ray of Gladwin, and Mrs. Chester Buck, of Stanton; a sister and a brother, Mrs. G. W. Boman and Clarence Harris of Edenville. Knox, 59, died at his home in Beaverton city on Sunday afternoon, following a serious illness after an operation two months ago in a Saginaw hospital. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Hall Funeral Home. Burial was in the Dale cemetery. The Rev. John K. Osborne, of the Beaverton Presbyterian church, assisted by the Rev. John Miller, of the Wagarville Methodist church officiated. Services at the grave were undere the auspice of the Beaverton Masonic Lodge. Mr. Knox was born in Beaverton on February 14, 1888, the son of John M. and Julia F. Knox, and has been a life-long resident of Gladwin county. On December 21, 1912 he was married to Miss Lesta M. Searson, of Findlay, Ohio, in Windsor, Ontario. Mr. Knox was on a leave of absence at the time of his death from the Michigan State Highway Department, with whom he had been employed for several years. He served as County Surveyor for many years and was Supervisor for the 2nd Ward in Beaverton for several years; he also worked for the County Road Commission at one time. He was a member of the Beaverton Lodge F. and A.M. Surviving are his wife, Lesta; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Staley, of Coburn, Pennslyvania and Mrs. Jacque Aubel, of Saginaw; one half-brother, J. J. LAKE Mrs. Gertrude Alice Lake, 75, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mildred Pendleton, in Beaverton, following an illness of two years. Mrs. Lake was born February 14, 1874, in Rochester, New York, and was married to William Lake in Eaton County on November 24, 1895. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1941. He was born December 21, 1869 in Vermontville and departed this life December 31, 1941. He married Gertrude Schofield November 23, 1894 and to this union five children were born one preceding him in death in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Lake moved from Vermontville in 1908 to a farm east of Beaverton, remaining there until 1937 when they moved to the city of Beaverton where Mr. Lake lived until his death. Those surviving are his wife and four children, Mrs. Grace Neumann of Gladwin, Charles Lake of Lincoln Park, Mrs. Mildred Pendleton and Mrs. Bertha Spencer of Beaverton and one brother, Benjamin Lake of Charlotte. Lewis, 40, of Hope, was fatally injured about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning when she was struck by a car on M-30 south of Edenville. Midland Sheriff's officers said Mrs. Lewis was walking on the highway wen she was struck by a car driven by James Eugune Miller, 30 of Secord Township, while he was attempting to pass another car. Mrs. Lewis was born on Feb. 2, 1925, in Beaverton. The former Maxine Hutson, she was married to Clarence Lewis Nov. 26, 1945. LIPKE (5 JAN 1882 - 13 JUNE 1953) BEAVERTON MAN PASSES AWAY Edward K. Lipke, 71, passed away suddenly at his home in Tobacco township on Saturday night, June 13. Mr. Lipke was born in Germany on January 5, 1882, and came to the United States at the age of 19. He lived in Detroit for a time and came to Gladwin county 25 years ago. Born in Midland Nov. 5, 1972, she had spent her lifetime in Gladwin County. Miss Loar was a 1990 graduate of Beaverton High School and a sophomore at Great Lakes Junior College in Midland. She was also a co-op student at Dow Chemical Co. Surviving are her parents, Michael and Deborah Loar of Beaverton; one brother, Chet of Beaverton; and her grandparents, Leon and Shirley Mavis and Leo and Bernadine Loar of Beaverton. Loar, 80, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999 at the Gladwin Living Centre in Gladwin following a long illness. Born Sept. 25, 1918 in Clare County, Leo was a machine operator and retired in 1980 from Robinson Industries after 25 years. He farmed all of his life and was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. Leo married Bernadine P. Edgar Nov. 9, 1939 in Gladwin. He is survived by his wife Bernadine of Beaverton; four daughters, Pat and husband Gordon Goodman of Gladwin, Evelyn and husband Joe Brady of Beaverton, Linda and husband, Phil Vorce of Beaverton, and Judy and husband Louis Miller of Prescott; five sons, Gary, Michael, Dick, Harold and his wife Cathy, and Larry and wife Pat, all of Beaverton; two brothers, Robert and Basil, both of Beaverton; three sisters, Donna Jean Brewer and Ruth Brown of Gladwin and Beulah Timmons of Beaverton; 31 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. LOGAN (3 FEB 1924 - 20 MARCH 2002) James R. Logan, 78, of Beaverton died suddenly March 20, 2002 at MidMichigan Medical Center. Born Feb. 3, 1924 in Detroit, James was the son of Raymond and Rebecca (McMasters) Logan. He married Jean McKenzie January 31, 1948 in Detroit. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in WWII. He worked as a television technician at Sears in Saginaw. After moving to Beaverton, he worked as a barber full-time at Dave’s Styling in Midland and part-time at Jesse’s in Beaverton. He was a resident of Gladwin County for 27 years. James was a member of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Coleman. After moving to Beaverton Mr. Logan became interested in vegetable and flower gardening. But his greatest love was for his apple orchard of 150 trees. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. James is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons, John (Kathleen) Logan of Tawas City, and Jaime (Patrice) Logan of Coleman; two grandsons, Michael Logan and Mark Logan; a granddaughter, Christine Logan; two brothers, Harold (Shirley) Logan of Leesburg, Fl, and Francis Logan of Venice, Fl; two sisters, Mary Frazer of Santa Barbara, CA, and Jacqueline Tragosz of Mt. Clemens; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents; his daughter JoAnna Logan (1996); his grandson Jimmy Logan; and his brother John T. Logan. Born Nov. 15, 1919 in Detroit, she lived in Gladwin County since 1940 and previously lived in Detroit. She was a homemaker. Martha married Harlan Quillet, April 27, 1941 in Beaverton. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1961. She then married Harry Longstreth, April 6, 1963 in Beaverton. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1981. She was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church in Beaverton, and the Dale United Methodist Ladies Aid. She was also past president of MidMichigan Travel Club; past president of Gladwin County Ladies Farm Bureau; past president of the Home Extension Club; and a past member of the Gladwin County Fair Board. Surviving are one daughter, Ruth Ann and husband James Walters of Beaverton; one son, Harley and wife Lorna Quillet of Beaverton; one granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Methvin Ward of Midland; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; four step-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and two step great-great-grandchildren.
