Leslie G. Adams, 69, of 2263 S. River Rd., Beaverton, died Monday, Jan. 4, in 
the Midland Hospital Center. Born in Rose City on February 1, 1912, he moved 
to Flint in 1922 and to Gladwin County in 1945. Mr. Adams was a carpenter in 
commercial construction until 1977 when he retired. He was a member of Local 
1654 United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Mr. Adams and 
the former Florence Lemon were married in 1935 in Flint. Besides his wife, he 
is survived by 2 sons, George of Gladwin and Rueben of Beaverton; 2 sisters, 
Mrs. Marion McCallum of Sunfield and Mrs. Ruth Wambold of Flint; 6 
grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 1 
p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Helena Egts will officiate and 
burial will be in the Beaverton Cemetery.
