Mrs. Erma I. Anderson, 73, of the Maple Manor in Gladwin, died suddenly of a 
heart attack at her home on Saturday, Dec. 25. Born in Gratiot County on 
August 24, 1903, she came to Gladwin County in 1959 from Midland. She was a 
member of the Gladwin Senior Citizens Club. The former Erma Sawvell, she was 
married to Charles V. (Andy) Anderson on June 27, 1926, in Bay City. He 
preceded her in death on July 26, 1973.
   Surviving are one son, William of Auburn; 2 daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Day 
of Gladwin and Mrs. Darleen Brownell of Midland; 2 brothers, Milo Sawv,ell of 
West Branch and Lavon Dice of Midland; 3 sisters, Mrs. Donna Bell Engle of 
Breckenridge, Mrs. Olive Hegle of Florida and Mrs. Sylvia Boyd of Texas; 7 
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
   Services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Donald Bates officiated and burial was in the Dale 
Cemetery Beaverton.
