Gladwin County Record dated 12-05/1929 Column - 3 Page - 4
Mrs. Samuel Asch died Nov. 15, 1929, at her home in Beaverton, having been a 
resident there since 1911. Katrina Vernie was born Sept. 22, 1863 at Berne, 
Switzerland, and was married there in 1888 to Samuel Asch. Eleven children, 
eight sons and three daughters, were born to them.
   In 1895 Mr. and Mrs. Asch moved to America, locating first in Pennsylvania, 
where they were employed on a dairy farm. They came to Michigan in 1897, and 
located in Beaverton in 1911. Mrs. Asch will be sadly missed by surviving 
family and friends.
