Samuel Asch Jr., 91, of Beaverton, died Friday, May 31, 1996 at the Gladwin 
Pines Nursing Home. Born July 6, 1904 in Munger, he farmed in Tobacco Township 
most of his life. Mr. Asch was an elder in the Reorganized Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter Day Saints in Beaverton. He married the former Fern Rosevear 
June 26, 1937 in Beaverton.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, David Asch and Julieann VanNest 
of Iowa City, Iowa, and Howard and Victoria Asch of Beaverton; one daughter, 
Mary Jane and Richard Miller of Holt; one sister, Mabel Grove of Flint; and 5 
grandchildren. He was preceded in death; by 2 sisters, 7 brothers and a step-
brother. 
   Rites were held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Reorganized Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter Day Saints in Beaverton. Elder Richard Hamilton officiated 
and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church. 
Arrangements were handled by the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin.
