Gladwin County Record dated 01-11/1984 Column - 4 Page - 2 
Richard L. Ashley, 40, 70 E. Knox Rd. Beaverton, died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 
4, in the Gladwin Area Hospital. Born in Gladwin on August 30, 1943, he had 
spent his lifetime here. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ella Mae Powell of 
Beaverton; 3 brothers, Lyle of Imlay City, Kenneth and Harold of Beaverton; 
and 2 sisters, Idella Lane and Shirley Dillion of Clare. Rites were held 
Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Duane 
Koontz officiated and burial was in the Billings Township Cemetery.
