Merle D. Aylsworth, 63, of Gladwin, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1996 at MidMichigan 
Regional Medical Center -Midland. Born March 23, 1933 in St. Johnson, he was 
self-employed in the bar business in Flint. Mr. Aylsworth came to Gladwin in 
December 1971. He married the former Elsie Reisig April 6, 1957 in Flint.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Jeff and wife Bonnie of 
DesPlaines, Ill.; 2 daughters, Elizabeth and husband Clark Bradley of Gladwin, 
and Pamela Aylsworth of Grand Rapids; a son-in-law, Michael Mewhiney of 
Gladwin; 3 sisters, Mildred and husband Eugene Greaves of Muir, Helen and 
Patrick Hopper of Illinois, and Nina and Robert Mitchell of Alabama; 6 
grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one 
daughter, Kathryn Mewhiney.
   At Mr. Aylsworth request, no services will be held. Burial was in the Dale 
Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Sisson Funeral Home of Gladwin. 
Memorials may be made to the family.
