Gladwin County Record dated 11 September 1924
Alton J. Beaubien, son of Henry and Mary Beaubien, was born in Paulding 
county, Ohio, Jan. 6, 1894, and came to Michigan when a small boy. Aug. 7, 
1918, he was united in marriage to Bessie Priest. His death took place Aug. 
31, 1924, from drowning, aged 30 years, 7 months and 1 day. He leaves to mourn 
his departure a father, two sisters, loving wife and two little daughters, a 
host of friends and relatives. His mother and one sister preceded him in 
death. Funeral services
were conducted by Rev. G. H. Killian, with interment in Beaverton Cemetery.
