Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at three o'clock from the Gladwin Methodist church, with the Rev. John R. Scott, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be made in Dale cemetery. Mr. Dale may be seen at the Hall Funeral Home until an hour before the service. A retired Pere Marquette em- cemetery. Mr. Bender may be seen Elkhart, Indiana, on November 26, 1871. He came to Beaverton in 1910, and moved to Saginaw in 1925, returning to Gladwin upon his retirement, in 1939. In February, 1892, he married Miss Nancy Ellen Mixer in Garrett, Indiana, March 10, 1934. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Surviving are three sons, Earl F. Bender, Mt. Morris, James R. Bender, Gladwin, Roy M. Bender, Saginaw; two daughters, Mary S. Barlow and Ruth A. McClung, both of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. One son, Jay Allan, died in 1910. Mr. Bender's grandsons and great-grandsons will act as pallbearers.
