Violet Bennett, 82, of Beaverton, passed away Nov. 28 after a long illness at 
Fenton Extended Care, Fenton. She was born Nov. 8, 1921 to Charles & Emma 
(Hanson) Swarvar in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. She married the late Edward 
Bennett on Dec. 26, 1942 in Georgia. She was a resident of Gladwin County 
since 1970, and a previous resident of Coleman. She was part of the T.O.P.S of 
Beaverton and a member of Beaverton Methodist Church.
   She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Marty) Hain of Flint; her son, 
David (Chris) Bennett of Beaverton; grandchildren, Julie (Mark) Herron of 
Midland and Kellie Hain of Flint; great grandson, Logan Demski of Flint; and 
her brother Eugene Swarvar of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her 
husband in 1994, her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
   Hall Funeral home held all of the arrangements. Pastor Linda Jo Powers 
officiated the funeral service and a burial followed at Beaverton Cemetery.
