Mrs. Abbie Paxton Bergman, 89, of 11854 Oakland Ave., Mt. Morris and formerly 
of Beaverton, died Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Kith Haven Nursing Home, Flint. 
Born in Birch Run Sept. 9, 1898, she had moved to Mt. Morris in 1974 from 
Beaverton. The former Abbie Dunham, she was married to Russell Paxton Feb. 29, 
1916, in Beaverton. He died March 21, 1960. She then married Lawrence Bergman 
Oct. 16, 1965, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death July 31, 1969.
   Surviving are 2 sons, James Paxton of Clare and Louis Paxton of Clio; one 
daughter, Mrs. Warren (Cleo) Hart of Mt. Morris; one step-son, Calvin Bergman 
of Beaverton; 6 step-daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Arehart, and Belva Govitz of 
Beaverton, Mrs. Eleanor Tucker of Apache Junction, Ariz., Mrs. Jean Berner and 
Mrs. Ann Mowery of Midland, and Mrs. Rosalie Greene of Mt. Pleasant; 2 
sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Glidden of Mt. Morries and Mrs. Helen Barton of 
Florida; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
   Services were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Dale United Methodist Church 
and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge 
of the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel.
