Gladwin County Record
Gerald W. "Jerry B" Bierschbach, 82, of Beaverton, died Thursday, June 14, 
2001 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Born April 14, 1919 in L’Anse, he 
was the son of Arthur and Erma (Picard) Bierschbach. He lived in Gladwin 
County since 1976 and previously lived in Lincoln Park. Gerald married Isabel 
(Raymond), Aug. 14, 1943 in Detroit. He was a truck driver for Gateway 
Transportation in Dearborn, retiring in 1975 after 30 years. He was a member 
of the Albright Shores Eagles Aerie 3655 and a member of St. Anne’s Catholic 
Church. 
Besides his wife he is survived by four daughters, Jacqueline and husband 
Thomas Ficek, Geraldine and husband John Brancheau, Dayle and husband George 
Willetts, and Michelle and husband Emil Schaefer, all of Beaverton; one son, 
Robert and wife Lisa of Beaverton; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 
one great-great-grandchild; one niece; and one nephew. He was preceded in 
death by his parents, and two brothers, Emil and Donald. 
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in 
Edenville with Rev. Father Todd Arnberg officiating. Burial was in Billings 
Township Cemetery. There was a special service at 7 p.m. Sunday by the 
Albright Shores Eagles Aerie 3655. Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, was in charge 
of the arrangements.
