George R. Bishop, 63, died Tuesday, April 30, at the Isabella County Medical 
Care Facility following a long illness. Born in Beaverton Township August 25, 
1910, he lived most of his life in Lansing where he was employed in the 
machine shop of the Oldsmobile auto manufacturing plant. He had been in Mt. 
Pleasant 8 months.
   Surviving are 4 sons; a brother Lester of Beaverton: 5 sisters, Mrs. 
Dorothy Romatz and Mrs. Bertha Green, both of Beaverton, Mrs. Lottie Swan of 
Afton, Mrs. Sarah Fisher of Lake George, and Mrs. Pearl Gilbert of Flint; and 
15 grandchildren.
   Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton, with 
the Rev. Arthur Munger officiating, and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
