E. Adrian Blades, 77, of 1744 Dale Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 
23, 1990, in the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Midland. Born in Tobacco 
Township, Sept. 8, 1913, he had spent his lifetime in Gladwin County. Mr. 
Blades owned Adrian Blades Contracting. Mr. Blades and the former Velma 
Onweller were married Nov. 13, 1934, in Beaverton. 
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, James of Flint and Jerry of 
Beaverton; 4 daughters, Mrs. Nick (Marian) Radakovich of Midland, Mrs. Larry 
(JoAnn) McCulloch of Alden, Mrs. Solomon (Berniece) Horn of Lennon and Mrs. 
Joyce Blades of Mason; one brother, Clare of Pontiac; one sister, Mrs. Jean 
Reilly of Lake City; a half sister, Mrs. Barbara Morgan of Taylor; a step-
brother, William Kennedy of Beaverton; a step-sister, Mrs. Myra Scoby of Mt. 
Clemens; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death 
by a daughter, Judy in 1941; a granddaughter, a brother, Mike and a sister, 
Donna Cornell. 
   Services were held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Reg Cattell officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township 
Cemetery.
