Gladwin County Record dated 10-11/1978 Column - 5 Page - 2   
Kenneth Clair Blades, 62, of 1522 Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, Oct. 8, in 
the Midland Hospital Center following a long illness. Born in Tobacco Township 
on January 22, 1916, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Blades was employed 
as a truck driver. He was married to the former Lois Brabon on July 14, 1953, 
in Dundee.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Susan of Grand Rapids and 
Mrs. Randy (Sandra) Sprague of Hope; 2 sons, John and Glen of Beaverton; 4 
brothers, William of Coleman, Shirley and Duane of Beaverton and Forest of 
Midland; 3 sisters, Mrs. Violet Rangeler of Tecumseh, Mrs. Lois Schaard of 
Beaverton and Mrs. Grace Farrow of Clare; and one grandchild.
   Services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel. Elder Harold McAllister and Elder Sam Asch officiated and 
burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
