Blades, 83, of Gladwin, died May 5, 2002 at the Gladwin Liviing Centre in Gladwin. She was born November 10, 1918 to Claude and Lucy (Seward) Onweller in Beaverton. She spent her life as a home maker and was a life-long resident of Gladwin County. She married E. Adrian Blades November 18, 1934 in Beaverton and he preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by four daughters, Marian (Nich) Radakovich of Midland, JoAnn (Larry) McCulloch of Alden, Berniece (Solomon) Horn of Lennon and Joyce Blades of Mason; a son, James (Laura) Blades of Flint; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; three brothers, Glen Onweller of Beaverton, Alvin Onweller of Coleman and Robert Onweller of California; and three sisters, Claudine Sandula of Beaverton, Beverly Brushaber of Beaverton, and Lorraine Elshaw of Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry, in 1999, a daughter, Judy in 1941 and five brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 9, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with the Rev. Duane Koontz officiating. Burial will take place at the Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton.
