Gladwin County Record dated 07-09/1931 Column - 3 Page - 1
Jane Smallwood Boals was born at Athens, Ohio. At the age of 16 she was wedded 
to Archie Boals, later moving to Michigan and settling at her present home. To 
this union were born five children, three having preceeded her in death, 
Sarah, Walter and Alice.
   Those left to mourn her loss are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. E. W. 
Glidden, of Flint, and one son Charles, at home, seven grandchildren and 10 
great grandchildren. She passed away at the home of her daughter in Flint June 
30, after an illness of several months at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 8 
days.
