Boos, 71, of Tobacco township, died Monday, June 24, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after an illness of three months. He was born on September 5, 1885, in Scranton, Pennsylvannia. A resident of Gladwin county for eight years, he came here from Detroit. He was a retired drop-forger from the LaSalle Forge Co. in Ferndale. On April 8, 1912, he was married to the former Miss Elizabeth Boottger in Detroit. She survives him; also two sons, Harry of Gregory, and Cleo of Howell; one daughter, Mrs. Martha Quillet of Beaverton; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Matthew of Long Island, N. Y., John and Charles of Lake Ariel, Pa., and Anthony, of North Arlington, N. Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Keeley and Mrs. Helen O'Hara of North Arlington, and Mrs. Anna Thees of Scranton, Pa. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, at 2:30 p.m. at the Dale Methodist Church with the Rev. Verne Summers officiating. Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home and at the church from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Dale cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris Leuenberger, Shirley Brown, Harley Quillett, Lloyd Brushaber, Clifford Snyder and Fuhrman Tremaine.
